Caryl Crozier was born and raised on the prairies of Southeastern South Dakota. Her grandparents and parents operated farms near Beresford, SD surviving the tough times of the Depression. Caryl went to a one-room country school through the 8th grade before graduating from Beresford, SD High School and then graduated from South Dakota State University with a BS in Home Economics. 


She and her husband, Ed Crozier ( For his memoir see: http://crozierwildlifejournal.com/ ),  have two daughters, Michelle Kegler and Cherise Barnes and three grandchildren, Rachel, Claire and Nathan Barnes. Her jobs have included Extension Home Economist, Home Economics and adult education teacher. She has owned and made designs for her pattern business and then changed her career course and became a long-term care administrator for 13 years.


She and Ed have lived in Wisconsin, North Dakota and Illinois and then for over 40 years in the Twin Cities, Minnesota area. She enjoys gardening, boating and fishing.  She has traveled extensively -- throughout all the states, Central America and much of Europe, sometimes for genealogy research for the seven family history books she and Ed have written.
